Drips Stopped for Good

Faucet Repair in St. Petersburg, FL

Kitchen, bath, tub and outdoor faucets repaired with the correct parts, or replaced with new supply lines and shut-off valves that will actually turn when you need them.

The right part

Faucet repair in St. Petersburg, FL that fixes the cause, not the symptom

Most drips trace back to a worn cartridge, a hardened washer or a seal that has lost its shape. The key to lasting faucet repair in St. Petersburg, FL is identifying the brand and valve type first, so the replacement part matches exactly instead of being a close fit that starts dripping again in a few months.

In older St. Pete homes, the faucet is often not the real problem. The corroded supply stops under the sink and the galvanized lines feeding them can restrict flow so badly that a brand-new faucet still trickles. When we see that, we replace the stops and supply lines along with the faucet so you get the full pressure the fixture was designed for.

Mineral scale is the other everyday culprit. It builds up in aerators and cartridges, slowly cutting flow and making handles stiff. Sometimes cleaning is enough; sometimes the cartridge is too far gone and replacement is quicker and cheaper over time.

Fix or replace

When a repair is worth it and when it is not

We give you both options with prices when the choice is close.

Repair usually makes sense when

  • The faucet body is sound and the finish is in good shape
  • Replacement cartridges or seals are still available
  • The drip is from one handle or the spout only
  • You like the fixture and it suits the room

Replacement usually makes sense when

  • The body is cracked or corroded, or leaks at the base
  • Parts for that model are discontinued or hard to source
  • It has been repaired more than once already
  • You are updating the kitchen or bath anyway

What we work on

Faucets and valves we repair and install

  • Kitchen faucets

Single-handle, two-handle and pull-down styles, including the sprayer hose and its weight.

  • Bathroom lavatory faucets

Widespread and single-hole sets, with new pop-up drains when the old one no longer seals.

  • Tub and shower valves

Cartridge and stem repairs behind the handle, and shower and tub plumbing when the valve body itself has failed.

  • Outdoor hose bibs

Leaking spigots on exterior walls repaired or replaced, a common source of slow, unnoticed water loss.

  • Shut-off valves

Seized multi-turn stops swapped for quarter-turn valves that close fully.

A dripping faucet is worth fixing sooner

A small drip adds up on the water bill and keeps cabinet bases damp, which invites rot. Call (941) 541-7473 for a free phone estimate and the price before any work begins. If the faucet is only one of several low-pressure spots in the house, our pipe repair team in St. Pete can check the supply lines feeding them.

St. Petersburg questions

Faucet Repair in St. Petersburg: common questions

Why is the water pressure low at only one faucet?

When one fixture is weak and the rest are fine, the cause is usually local: a clogged aerator, a scaled cartridge or a partly closed or corroded shut-off under the sink. If several fixtures are low, the problem is more likely the supply piping, which in older homes often means galvanized pipe narrowing from the inside.

Should the shut-off valves be replaced along with the faucet?

In most older homes, yes. Old multi-turn stops often seize or fail to close fully, and they tend to start leaking once they are disturbed. Replacing them while the faucet is off adds little time and means you can isolate the sink properly in future.

How do I stop a drip until the plumber arrives?

Close both shut-off valves under the sink. If they will not turn or do not stop the water, shut off the main supply to the house. Put the plug in the drain so small parts cannot fall in, and do not force a handle that feels stuck. Our general faucet repair and installation guide explains what usually fails.
