Our home county

A Manatee County plumber who lives and works here

Our shop sits on Florida Boulevard in Bradenton, so Manatee County is not a service area we drive into. It is where we start every morning.

Redemption Plumbing was founded in Bradenton in 2022 by Brett Remmelsberger, a veteran and licensed master plumber with more than 30 years in the trade. Bradenton Herald readers voted us Best Plumber in Bradenton's Best 2025, and that local reputation is the one we work to keep on every call, whether you need a Manatee County plumber for a dripping faucet or a flooded laundry room.

The county is a lot of different places stitched together. There are barrier island homes on Anna Maria Island, the old fishing village of Cortez, established neighborhoods on both banks of the Manatee River in Bradenton and Palmetto, and newer master-planned communities out east around Lakewood Ranch. Each one tends to bring its own kind of plumbing call, and we plan visits with that in mind.

We serve homeowners, condo associations, landlords, vacation rental owners and businesses. Every job starts with an explanation of what we found and a price you approve before any work begins.

Coast to inland

How plumbing needs change across Manatee County

The same problem can have a different cause on the island than it does twenty miles east.

  • Anna Maria Island and Longboat Key

Salt air, seasonal occupancy and rental turnover. Fixtures that sit unused for weeks can fail quietly, and supply lines and shutoffs near the coast are worth checking more often.

  • Bradenton and Palmetto

Older neighborhoods near the river mix original drain lines with decades of partial upgrades. Repeat clogs here are often a pipe-condition question, which a camera answers quickly.

  • Cortez and the bayfront

Low-lying lots and older, smaller homes mean drainage and outdoor plumbing get extra attention, especially after heavy summer rain.

  • Lakewood Ranch and the east county

Newer construction usually means PEX supply lines, tankless or high-capacity water heaters and plenty of bathrooms. Most calls are fixtures, water heaters and the occasional builder-grade shortcut.

Water and wear

Hard water and what it does to Manatee County plumbing

Much of the county's treated water comes from the Lake Manatee reservoir and well sources, and it carries enough minerals to leave scale behind. Over time that shows up as crusty aerators, sluggish showerheads, rumbling tank water heaters and valves that stick when you finally need to turn them.

Flushing a tank water heater on a regular schedule and replacing worn shutoff valves before an emergency are two of the simplest ways to get more years out of a system here. If your heater is already noisy or slow to recover, our water heater repair and replacement page walks through the options.

Scale also narrows older drain lines from the inside, which is one reason Bradenton-area kitchens see more grease clogs than you might expect. A sink that keeps backing up deserves a look at the line, not just another round with a plunger.

Seasonal homes and vacation rentals

If your island condo or Lakewood Ranch house sits empty part of the year, a small leak can run for weeks before anyone notices. Shutting off the main water when you leave, and having the system checked before guests or tenants arrive, prevents most of the surprises. Owners who want an ongoing relationship can ask about the Redemption Family Plan, our $175-per-year plumbing maintenance membership.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Where in Manatee County does Redemption Plumbing work?

All of it. We are based in Bradenton and regularly work in Palmetto, Anna Maria, Holmes Beach, Bradenton Beach, Cortez, Longboat Key and Lakewood Ranch, along with the communities in between. The town list below links to pages for each area, and you can call (941) 541-7473 to confirm scheduling for your address.

Do island homes need different plumbing care than inland homes?

Often, yes. Homes on Anna Maria Island and Longboat Key deal with salt air, which is hard on exposed metal fittings and outdoor hose bibs, and many sit empty for stretches of the year. Inland homes tend to need more attention to hard water scale and aging drain lines. We adjust what we check to the property.

What should I do first when a pipe bursts in my Manatee County home?

Shut off the main water valve, usually near the meter or where the line enters the house, then turn off power to the water heater if it is electric. Move valuables away from the water and call our 24/7 line at (941) 541-7473. Our emergency plumbing service page covers more steps to take while you wait.

How do I get a price before you come out?

Call and describe what is happening. We give free phone estimates, and once we see the problem in person you get an upfront price to approve before any work starts. There are no hidden fees added afterward.
