Full-Diameter Line Cleaning

Hydro Jetting Services in Tampa, FL

High-pressure water that scours roots, grease and scale off the pipe wall, matched to the age of your line and checked on camera when the pipe's condition is in doubt.

Why jetting

Hydro jetting in Tampa for roots, grease and scale

A cable punches a path through a blockage. A jetter cleans the whole inside of the pipe, which is why the line stays open longer.

Tampa gives a jetter two very different jobs. In South Tampa and Seminole Heights, older clay and cast iron laterals run beneath decades-old live oaks, and fine root hair works its way into the joints. In Ybor City, downtown and along the busy commercial corridors, restaurant and multi-unit lines collect grease that coats the pipe like wax. Hydro jetting in Tampa, FL handles both, but the nozzle, the pressure and the approach are different for each.

A jetting nozzle fires water forward to cut the obstruction and backward to drive the hose and flush debris toward the cleanout. The result is a pipe wall scoured close to its original diameter, rather than a narrow tunnel through the middle of the buildup.

What we will not do is put high pressure into a pipe that cannot take it. On older lines with an unknown history, we camera the line first, and if the wall is too thin we will tell you and point you toward a repair instead.

Where it helps

Tampa lines that benefit most from jetting

  • Root-bound residential laterals

Root-cutting nozzles shave intrusions back to the pipe wall and flush the debris out of the line.

  • Restaurant and kitchen lines

Hot-water jetting softens congealed grease that a cable simply slides past.

  • Shared building drains

Multi-unit stacks and mains cleaned end to end so one tenant's habits stop affecting everyone else.

  • Scaled cast iron

Mineral and corrosion buildup removed so the line regains capacity, provided the pipe is sound enough.

Is it time?

Signs a cable is no longer enough

  • The line was snaked within the last year and is slow again
  • Several drains are sluggish rather than one being fully blocked
  • A camera has shown grease, scale or roots lining the pipe
  • You run a restaurant, rental or apartment building with repeat calls
  • Backups follow heavy use, such as weekends or holidays
  • The cleanout shows a gray, greasy residue when opened

Our approach

How a hydro jetting job runs

  1. Look before pressure

On older or unknown pipe we run a sewer camera inspection to confirm the line can handle jetting.

  2. Match the nozzle

Pressure and nozzle type are set for the pipe material, diameter and what is inside it.

  3. Jet the full run

The hose works the whole length of the line, cutting and flushing debris back out.

  4. Confirm the result

Where it makes sense we re-camera so you can see the cleaned wall, then discuss a maintenance interval.

What jetting costs, in plain terms

Jetting is priced by the line, the access point and what is built up inside, and you approve a clear number before the hose comes off the truck. It costs more than a basic cable clearing and usually keeps the line clear far longer. Free phone estimates at (941) 541-7473. Tampa questions

Hydro Jetting Services in Tampa: common questions

Can hydro jetting damage an old cast iron line?

In sound pipe, no. Pressure is adjusted to the material. The risk comes from jetting a line that is already badly corroded or broken, which is why we camera older Tampa laterals before jetting them. If the footage shows the wall is too thin or the pipe has collapsed, we recommend a repair rather than risk making it worse.

Does jetting stop tree roots from coming back?

Jetting clears roots back to the pipe wall, but the joint they came through is still open, so new growth will eventually return. How quickly depends on the tree and the joint. Clearing on a schedule works for some homes; for others, lining or repairing the affected joints is the longer-term answer, and the camera footage helps you decide.

How often should a Tampa restaurant have its lines jetted?

It depends on menu, volume and how well the grease interceptor is maintained. Some kitchens need jetting a few times a year, others far less. We usually start by cleaning and filming the line, then suggest an interval based on how much buildup we find, so you avoid emergency calls during service.
