Tank to flange
Toilet repair in Bradenton, FL, from the fill valve to the floor
Most toilet problems start in one of two places: inside the tank, or where the bowl meets the drain.
Toilet repair in Bradenton, FL often begins with a running tank. Hard municipal water scales up fill valves and stiffens rubber flappers, so the seal fails and the tank refills on its own every few minutes. Replacing those parts with ones that cope better with mineral-heavy water usually quiets it for good.
Problems at the floor are different. In older homes in West Bradenton and around the Village of the Arts, toilets sit on cast iron closet flanges that have been corroding for decades. When the flange fails, the toilet starts to rock, the seal breaks and water seeps under the floor. A new wax ring alone will not fix that; the flange has to be repaired.
We check both ends of the problem before quoting, so you are not paying for a part that was never the cause. Larger bathroom projects can include shower and tub work in Bradenton at the same visit.

Bradenton questions
Toilet Repair in Bradenton: common questions
Why does my toilet refill on its own every so often?
That is called ghost flushing. Water is slowly leaking from the tank into the bowl, usually past a worn or scaled flapper, until the fill valve tops it up. Put a few drops of food coloring in the tank and wait. If color appears in the bowl without flushing, the flapper or flush valve needs replacing.
Why does my toilet rock when I sit on it?
Loose mounting bolts, a broken or corroded flange, or an uneven floor can all cause rocking. It matters because movement breaks the wax seal, letting water and sewer gas escape under the toilet. Tightening the bolts sometimes helps, but if the flange is damaged, the toilet needs to be pulled and the flange repaired.
Can you install a toilet I bought myself?
Yes. We will check that it fits your rough-in measurement and bathroom, then install it with a new seal and supply line. If the flange or shut-off valve needs work, we will tell you and price it before starting. We also take the old toilet away when the job is done.
Why does my toilet keep clogging?
Some older low-flow toilets simply lack the flushing power for everyday use. Mineral buildup in the rim and jet weakens flushes further. If clogs keep returning with normal use, the restriction may be in the drain line beyond the toilet, and our Bradenton drain cleaning service can clear and check it.
